John C. Ogier

John Creuze Hingston Ogier was born at Surrey, England on 17 March 1821, the son of Pierre Ogier of Lincoln's Inn and Elizabeth Davison. John Ogier was a barrister and civil servant who was educated at Eton and Trinity College. 32 year old John Ogier and 28 year old Henry Ogier sailed to Port Phillip from London on the Wandsworth.

After practising at Geelong as a Barrister at Law, John Ogier practised at Ballarat in 1858.[1]On 06 February 1874 John Ogier, Barrister at Law, was appointed to be a Police Magistrate of Victoria, Warden of the Goldfields and Coroner of Victoria.[2]

Ogier died on 19 October 1913 at South Melbourne aged 92 years. He is buried at Brighton Cemetery.
