History

Wolff was originally from Southampton. He ran a general store in Trentham which incorporated a grocery, butchery and bakery. The bakery's scotch oven is still in use at Trentham's RedBeard Historic Bakery. Wolff was a:

good townsman and a staunch Anglican, bequeathing a sum of money towards the building of the new church [1]

WOLFF. - The Friends of the late Mr. JOHN WILLIAM WOLFF are informed that his re- mains will be interred in the Trentham Cemetery. The funeral will moved from his residence, Trentham, THIS DAY (Friday, December 1), at half-past 3 o'clock [2]
