History
Joshua George (George) Greening was born at Ballarat in 1891 to Joseph Greening and Mary Jane Morris. He was a meber of the 31st Battalion during World War One and was killed at the Battle of Fromelles on 20 July 1916 and was buried at Fleurbaix. At the conclusion of the was his body was exhumed and he was reburied at his body was later exhumed, and reburied at the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery at Fleurbaix near the town of Armentières.[1]
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
