- Lal Lal Brick Works - The brick works are still working with a very small complement of men. This company have magnificent clay to work, and the production is accepted by experts to be of special merit, and instead of two men and two boys, there should be enough work to keep at least 50 hands going.[1]
- LAL LAL - FIRE BRICK CO. - Owing to the small demand for fire bricks there very little doing at the works. A couple of hands manage to cope with business being done. During the past few days several thousand bricks left for New South Wales, and a quantity of fire clay is being sent to Castlemaine. The value of this deposit is reputed to be second to no other in the World, and the time must come when the fire brick industry of Lal Lal will be a big thing. A little more advertising would help to bring to value before the people. [2]
