The Lal Lal Iron Co. Ltd. were engineers and ironfounders operating from premises on Urquhart Street, Ballarat in 1887.[1]
Background
History
- ‘The Lal Lal Iron Company has ceased to be for the time a practically operative venture, but the company has great resources in valuable ore lodes, which some day, doubtless, will receive due attention from capitalists. The School of Mines analysis of the lode shows it to be hematite brown ore, yielding 50 per cent. of iron, besides yellow ochre and brown umber pigments’.[2]
