In 1905 students from the Ballarat School of Mines visited the mine were they reported: The surface equipment of the mine is excellent, and is so designed as to minimise annual labor. The ore is tipped direct from trucks into a Gates' storage bins by an endless belt conveyor. Automatic feeders are used, and after passing the plates the sulphides are concentrated out on Wilfley tables. Tailings do not carry sufficient values for cyanidation. The battery engine (compound) by Thompson, is a very fine machine, with steam valves operating by trip gear controlled by the governor. The enterprise shown in developing the mine, and the high state of efficiency to which the management has brought the plant deserves better luck and more gold than they are getting just now, and we left with sincere hoped that they would get on to better grade stone soon.
