Morgan Griffiths was a Director of the Band and Barton Co. and the Prince of Wales and Bonshaw Co. in 1887.

Obituary

DEATH OF A WELL KNOWN RESIDENT OF BALLARAT.

Mr. Morgan Griffiths, the well known mining manager, died this morning from hemorrhage consequent upon the bursting of a blood vessel in the leg. The artery broke some days ago, but surgical aid stopped the bleeding. A fresh rupture took place, however, and the consequent loss of blood, acting on an already weakened constitution, caused death. The name of "Morgan Griffiths" is well known throughout the Ballarat district, especially in the Egerton mining division. At the time of his death the deceased was manager of the mine of tho Prince of Wales and Bonshaw Company, Sebastopol. He was 59 years of age, and leaves a widow and family of six. The flag at the Old Colonists' Hall was to-day flying at half-mast, as a tribute of respect, to the memory of the deceased, who was a member of the Old Colonists' Association of Ballarat.
