History
Mark Victor Tregurtha was born at Balalray in 1894. His father was Thomas Tregurtha. He attended Magpie Primary SchoolMarktaion. Tregurtha was a raliway employee when he enlisted for World War One service with the 5th Pioneer Battalion. He served in Francem was wounded once, and returned to Australia on 05 February 1919.
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour and Magpie State School Honour Roll.
