Margaretha Fleischer

Background

Margaretha Hauser was born 22 July 1841 at Niederweisel, Hesse, Darmstadt, Germany. She was the daughter of farmer Peter Hauser and Susanna Haub. She sailed to Australia on the Marco Polo.

Before her marriage she worked at the Willow Tree Hotel, Yandoit. She mrried at Castlemaine on 04 February 1860.

She died on 04 October 1923 at Yandoit, and is buried in Franklinford Cemetery.

She married George Fleischer at Castlemaine in 1860 and they had 7 children.
