In 1874 the Ballarat School of Mines Mathematics lecturer was John Victor. [1] In 1896 the Mathematics lecturer was W. E. Bennett.[2]

Students of Mathematics in 1896 studied Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Euclid, and Logarithms. [3]
