Matterson and Perryman were situated at 126 Sturt Street in 1898. In that year they advertised Diamond Cycles in the Ballarat School of Mines Student Magazine. They could build a bicycle to order from 16 pounds to 22 pounds, and second-hand machines from five pounds. Repairing an enamelling was a specialty.[1]
