The Peter Lalor Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat, Victoria, <2014.

Background

The hotel was formerly the Royal Highlander Hotel. It closed in 2014.

Site

The hotel is on the south east corner of Doveton Street and Mair Street.

History

The hotel was named after the leader of the miners at the Eureka Stockade, and Speaker of the Victorian Parliament, Peter Lalor.

The hotel was offered for sale in October 2015.[1]

Renowned artist David Bromley and his wife Yuge are the new owners of Ballarat’s Peter Lalor Hotel.[2]
