This includes operators “engaged in providing professional, scientific and technical services…In most cases, equipment and materials are not major inputs.” (Trewin and Pink, 2006, p. 311)


Although such operators do not fall strictly within the scope of the Ballarat and District Industrial Heritage Project, such operators may have performed secondary industrial activities that contributed to the industrial heritage of Ballarat and district and should be included here.


This division excludes operators providing health care and social assistance services that are included in the division of Health Care and Social Assistance.
