Rene Tournoeur

History

Rene Tournoeur was born in France and was the operator of the Alfred Hall. He is assoiciated with Pathe's Ballarat film productions. He asked the Melbourne Office to sendd a cameraman so he could make and exhhibit a local Ballarat travelogue known as Pathe's Living Ballarat, and later Pathe's Ballarat Gazette. Around 50 newsreels were found, with 12 known to be in existence in the 1980s
