Roger Jones

History

Private Roger Nathan Jones (no 6346) was 39 years old when he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Army ( 23 Battalion 18th Reinforcements) on the 6th May 1916. He was married before enlisting and was working as a railway Repairer. he embarked Melbourne A20 Hororata on the 28th November 1916 and returning from England (Melboure) on the 27th July 1917 and was discharged on the 4th January 1918.

He was awarded the 1914/15 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal

His address as of 20th July 1920 was Fish Creek, South Gippsland.
