Eureka Street State School Honour Board
News has bean received by Mrs V. Moore, of Wilson street, Ballarat East, of the death from wounds of her eldest son. S.J. (Peter) Cochrane, son of the late Mr James Cochrane, after being on active service three years. He was previously reported wounded on the 5th October, 1918. He was at tached to the 21st Battalion, which had seen service at Bullecourt, Messines, and Pozieres. He was educated at the Eureka street State school, and be fore the outbreak of war was employed bv J.S. Vickery and Son, and at the Llanberris gold mine. The sad news was conveyed to Mrs Moore by the Rev Joseph Snell.[1]
