- Mrs J. Wallace, of 35 Mair street, late of 100 Urquhart street has been officially notified that her son, Pte S. V. G. Wallace, of the 31st Battalion, had been admitted to the Ontario Military Hospital, Orphington, London, suffering from a gunshot wound in the right shoulder. Pte Wallace left Australia two years ago and had previously been wounded. Prior to enlisting he was employed at the Ballarat Jam Factory. His brother L.Cpl E.J. Wallace is also on active service in France.[1]
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
