Samuel Adams

History

Before enlistment he worked as a labourer and lived at 50 Bevan Street, South Melbourne.

Samuel Richard Adams enlisted in the A.I.F. (Service number 3227, 8th Infantry Battalion - 10 to 12 Reinforcements) on 7 August 1915. His next of kin was listed as his wife, E. J. Adams, of 886 McArthur Street, Ballarat North. His religion was given as Church of England.

At the age of 34, Private Samuel Richard Adams embarked from Melbourne on 11 October 1915 on board HMAT Nestor A71.

Legacy

World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
