The Soho Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat, Victoria, <1864-1892.

Background

History

The hotel was described in the 1864 license application:

DANIEL MARSH, Urquhart street, Borough of Ballarat.-Wooden building, containing seven rooms, and licensed under sign of Soho Hotel.[1]


It was one of the 26 hotels closed in 1892 in Ballarat as part of the changes to licensing laws.[2] The owners were paid £500 compensation for the closure of the business.[2]
