Sydney Body

History

Sydney George Body was a Civil Servant working at the Tiltis Office before he enlisted on July 19 1915, aged 20 years and 11 months. He was assigned to the 14th Battalion, his service number was 3694. He left Melbourne on 23 November and returned to Australia 13 April 1919, he was awarded 1914/15 Star, British War Medal and Victory medal

Family

Sydney was born Bowenvale, Victoria, he died 9 April 1958, mother: Anna Body.
