Professor Terry Lloyd, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Ballarat retired from the University of Ballarat in July 2012. [1]

University of Ballarat Vice-Chancellor David Battersby said of Terry Lloyd: “Over more than a decade, Professor Lloyd has provided exemplary service to the University and has contributed significantly to its development in this time. Professor Lloyd has been on many State and Commonwealth committees and is well known locally, and in Ararat, Stawell and Horsham, for the work he has done on behalf of the University. “He is very active in the local Ballarat community and is known as a great ambassador of the University. As a much liked and respected member of our University community, Professor Lloyd has our appreciation for what he has achieved for the University and we thank him sincerely for this. [2]

Professor Lloyd wished to acknowledge his good fortune in working with such dedicated colleagues at the University. He also recognised the many advantages he had in growing up in Ballarat and appreciated being presented with the opportunity to make a contribution back to his home town.“While retiring from my present role, I will be maintaining an active involvement in other activities, particularly related to the community, and of course the education sector,” Professor Lloyd said.[3]
