Thomas Mark
Thomas Mark was a publican at Clunes, Victoria, <1862.
History
Thomas Mark held the license for the Kent Hotel in Fraser Street. He was declared in solvent in 1862. He was forced to sell his new hotel in Service Street:
"In the Insolvent Estate of Thomas Mark, Publican. MITCHISON BROTHERS will sell by auction on the above-named day, on the premises, Service street, Clunes, Lot 1-All that Piece or Parcel of LAND, being Lot 17 of Section 6, township of Clunes, containing 1 rood, on which is erected a SUBSTANTIALLY BUILT NEW HOTEL, Fronting Service street, most admirably situated in the midst of a rapidly increasing neighborhood, Containing bar fittings, 2 front parlors, 1 large sitting room, 2 bedrooms, and outhouses, painted and papered throughout, large quarried cellar, and well of pure spring water, the whole having been just completed at a cost of £600."[1]
