Thomas Wenmouth

History

Thomas Henry Wenmouth, service number 5226, was 31 years old and a labourer when he enlisted in the 6th Battalion, on the 24th January 1916. He sailed from Australia in April.1916. he was injured during December, 1916, and went back to the trenches in July, 1917.

He was killed in action in Belgium on the 20th September 1917, he is buried in the ANZAC Section, 3rd Echelon, France. Reburied Hooge Crater Cemetery, Passchendaele, Flanders, Belgium, plot 5 row k, grave 4. He was awarded the Victory Medal, British War Medal and the 1914-15 Star.
