History

Tom Lamb, the son of Robert Lamb, was born in 1851 at Manchester, England. He migrated to Australia in 1853. Tom Lamb died in 1945 at Surrey Hills, Melbourne.

In 1914 Tom Lamb's daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Edwin Rash returned to Ballarat from Sydney. Edwin continued as a travelling salesman with Gem Manufactories, including products from Lamb's Ballarat Knitting Co.
