History

In 1915 Tunbridge's Furniture Factory was host to a recruitment meeting for investors to the War Loan fund. The Ballarat Courier reported...

‘RECRUITING MEETINGS .. CONTINUED SUCCESS // Successful recruiting meetings have been held this week at Graham’s boot factory, where a gathering of over 60 men were addressed by the Rev. Sale-Harrison and Mr Moyle, at Tunbridge’s speeches were delivered by Messrs Con Burrow and Frank Besemeres, and at the Gas Company’s works by the Rev John Walker and Mr Con Burrow.’
