Background

Victor Thomas Franzi was born in 1891. He was a tailor at 1007 Sturt Street, Ballarat during World War Two, trading under the name Victor Francis.

He died in 1981 and is buried in the Ballaarat New Cemetery. He is buried with his wife, Irene Isabel Franklin (1900-1974)[1]

History

Due to anti-italian sentiments during World War Two Franzi changed his name to Victor Francis.
