SOLDIERS' LETTERS
... Miss Bodinnar, of Daylesford, has received a letter from her "'soldier friend," W. E. Johnson, 13th L. H. Regiment, under date, January 14, 1916:— Just a few lines to let you know I received your Xmas pudding it was very nice it was a coincidence to get a gift from Daylesford, I come from up near there, myself, from Eganstown, It was very funny when we got the puddings we were just like a lot of children with new toy's this is a very short letter but I will have to close as it is all I have time to write so I will close."[1]
