Walter Andrew Vale served in the AIF and the British Army in World War One.
History
From the Ballarat Courier, February 1917:
LIEUTENANT A. W. VALE. Lt Andrew Walter Vale, youngest son of the late Hon. R. T. Vale and Mrs. Gertrude Vale, of Howitt street, Ballarat, was killed in action in France on the 8th inst. The deceased, who was lieutenant in the 7th East Yorkshire Regiment. was formerly a lance-corporal in the 2nd Field Ambulance, 1st Australian Imperial Forces.[1]
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
