The White Hart Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat, Victoria, <1862-1892.

Background

History

It was one of the 26 hotels closed in 1892 in Ballarat as part of the changes to licensing laws.[1][2] The owners were paid £1105 compensation for the closure of the business.[1]

Site

The White Hart Hotel was in Sturt Street, [3] near the north west corner of the intersection with Errard Street.[4]

  • In 1862-1863 the publican was George Smith.[5][3]
  • In 1865 it was run by F. Young.[6]
  • In March 1892 the hotel was owned by E. B. Keelan, who also was the licensee.[2]
