William Cross Yuille

History

William Cross Yuille was born on 28 March 1819.[1] He drove flocks of sheep to the district in 1838. [2] Possibly Mr Murfett built the house from nearby sandstone. [3] Later Yuille had an out-station near what is nor the corner of Doveton and Seymour Streets. [4]

He died on 19 July 1894.[5]

Legacy

The foundations of Yuille's homestead dates from c1840, and sandstone foundations can be seen in Bala Street, Sebastopol. [6]
