History

William Figgis was an Associate of the Ballarat School of Mines.

LIEUTENANT FIGGIS. Word was received in Ballarat yesterday,that Lt Figgis, son of Mr S E Figgis, formerly of Ballarat had been killed. Lt Figgis was an old student of the School of Mines. He enlisted in an English corps and subsequently received a com mission in the Bedford regiment.

In 1909 he was working at Black Range Mine, Sandstone, Western Australia.

Legacy

William E. Figgis' name is listed in the Ballarat School of Mines Honor Roll.
