William Hickey served wit the Canadian forces during World War One.
History
Born in Ballarat, son of James Hickey. Educated at St Patrick's College, Ballarat. Proceeded to Canada in 1913, enlisting for World War One in Ontario. He joined the ranks of the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in 1915, and underwent training in England. He took part in operations in France in the early part of 1916 where he was wounded in action and invalided to England. [1]
