William J. Kisler's father was Peter Kisler and his mother was Emily (Thomas) Kisler. His eight siblings were Henrietta, Martha, Emily, Anne Louisa, Fredda Minnie, Vic, Ivy Lillian and Stanley Peter, and the family lived on Geelong Road, Ballarat East. William Kisler attended Golden Point Primary School. [1]
Former postman Corporal William John Kisler was a member of the 39th Battalion. He was killed on 31 August 1918 at Mont Saint Quentin, France.[2]
Legacy
William J. Kisler's name is listed in the Ballarat School of Mines Honor Roll.[3]
