Wm. S. Penhalluriack
History
William D. Penhalluriack was the son of Frank Penhalluriack, form Mayor of Ballarat East. William served during World War One, and after the conclusion of hostilities he was studying as part of one of the A.I.F. Educational Classes at Namur, Belgium, where he won a first-class certificate and was awarded distinctive points in a second examination. Before the war William Penahlluriacl had attended a similar class at the Ballarat School of Mines. In August 1919 the Ballarat COurier reported he was bringing a power engine to Australia with a view to setting up an electric engineering shop.[1]
Legacy
World War One service recognised on the Ballarat Avenue of Honour.
