ORGANISING WOMEN’S WORK.
‘The suggestion that Miss Cuthbertson, senior Inspectress of Factories, should be appointed an organiser to deal with the provision of work for unemployed women, and to prevent overlapping in affording relief, is being considered by the Minister, Mr Hagelthorn. He is consulting the charities branch of the Treasury Department on the matter and it is probable that the Chief Inspector of Factories, Mr Murphy, will be asked by Mr Hagelthorn to arrange for Miss Cuthbertson to devote part of her time to the work, or in helping existing philanthropic organisations.
